Soccer!

Keegan has been asking to play soccer for quite a while, but up until September, he wasn't old enough. Since he is now 3 and indoor winter soccer has started, he had his first game on Saturday!


He was soooooo excited to play, he told everyone about his game. And because my family are all such great people, he had a great support system there! My mom, dad, Brenda, Jason, Jordan, Devin, Tyler, Jen, and Jaxton and all of us were all there to watch him and cheer him on!


Here is how Keegan spent most of the game!

We walked through the door, the coach talked to him, and he lost it. He started crying and hanging on to Riley. . .Riley remained very calm and didn't even yell at him!

We tried everything to get him out on the field. There was no way he was going out there though. There was money promised and new shin guards and ice cream and movies and you name it, it was promised to him, all he had to do was play.

I told him that if he didn't get out there and play, that we were going to go home. He said ok, climbed off the bench and started heading out the door. Man, that backfired!

I took him over to where the rest of the team was sitting. I talked to him about the game and how much fun the other kids were having and told him that he needed to get out there and play. But no way.

I told him I was going to just cut his feet off since he wasn't using them to play soccer, he didn't need them anymore!! He laughed at that! Then we looked over at all the people that were there to watch him. I pointed out each person there. Then I told him that if he did not get out there and play, that no one was going to come and watch him anymore. There was no reason for them to come if he wasn't going to play.

Result:

HE DID IT!!!

And he smiled the whole time!
