On your Mark, Get Set, GO. . . GO . . . GO

Go, Go, GO, that is what we have been doing all summer. This week Riley is on Vacation from work, but we just staid home because of all the things that we had to do this week. Yesterday Riley said "wow, we have been so busy this week that I am exhauseted!" Welcome to my world!

Chelsey has had a few tournaments this month. Last week she played at the Valley Complex across the street, which was nice to be so close to home! But, she got hit in the leg by a pitcher . . . it took her to the ground in tears!

They sent a runner out for her and she took a minute to ice it and elevate it because it was nice and swollen, then the next inning, she was back at it! She is tough!

They got to play under the lights, and she caught the whole tournamnet, which was awesome, she has not been able to catch any of the other games, but she did such a good job, they were all really impressed with her!
It has been a lot of fun, but also a lot of work for her to play all summer. We have been to a different tournament every weekend and she plays Thursday, Friday and Saturday, usually 3 or more games a day. Crazy!!!!

A lady that I visit teach, decided that her life was not all she wanted it to be. She had stopped coming to church, stopped letting us make appointments with her (but we showed her, we would just make surprise visits!!!) and just changed her way of life. Then one day a few weeks ago, she told her husband she wanted a divorce and picked up and moved to LA. I was shocked, but not. But she left behind 4 little girls. The oldest 9 and the youngest 2. That part I can't believe. I could never walk away from my kids, not for anything. But, it has given me a renewed appreciation for my own children. I was starting to get that point where you want summer to be over, then when this happened, I wanted my kids to be with me all the time. I can't imagine my life without all of them. I may grumble and groan about Riley's job and the hours that he has to work, but I appreciate that he supports our family and that he loves us enough to do what he does. Sometimes it takes someone elses mistakes to make you realize how good your own life really is. Not, that I really needed a reminder of how much I love my family, but just to appreciate them more than I was.

We are off to more games this morning!
