First, the big news, now I admit that I have eaten my words many times, but this one . . .
When we bought our camera, they sold Riley on the Debt Cancellation for our account. When I looked at it, I asked why on earth he would want to pay more money a month for nothing and I told him that he needed to call and have it removed from our account. Well, yesterday as I was paying my bill for the camera that I no longer have, I saw that fee on there and I thought, I am going to call and see exactly what this does for us. So here is the phone conversation:
Me: What happens if our camera is lost or stolen, what can you guys do for us?
Her: Well, you see Mrs. Wilkinson (I thought here it comes, we can do . . . nothing, instead) I will send you out a claim form, you fill it out, send it back to us, we process it, and we will pay off your camera.
Me: Really, wow, that is great!
Her: I will get the form in the mail today.
I hang up the phone very proud of myself for calling and getting this taken care of. I run and tell Riley, he reminds me of how I wanted it taken off and how I said this and that, but he is also very excited! And, you see, I still owe $230.00 on my almost $400.00 camera. I looked at it online and I can now buy the camera for $199.00. So the way I look at it, is they pay off the lost camera, I get a new one for less than I owe on the old one. I am still making payments but on less $$ and it is like I never even lost the old one! Yeah me!! So, I am heading to best buy to get a new camera before Chelsey's birthday on Saturday.
The funny! This is my disclaimer, I don't want to offend anyone, but I laughed until I cried over this, so I have to share, if you don't want to read, then just scroll down to the pictures below! So Thursday morning we had a PTA Committee meeting. One of Chelsey's friends mom sits on the PTA with me. She is the cutest lady I know. A year ago this month, she was in a car accident, there was nothing physically wrong with her, but she completely lost her memory. She has had to learn everything over again. Right after it happened, she didn't even know who her own children were, even now, she can't remember giving birth to them. When her and I helped in Kindergarten at Valentines this year I was cutting things out and said she would help me, but didn't know how to use scissors. So I showed her! Anyways, just know that she cannot remember anything from her past! In the PTA meeting, we were talking about the upcoming maturation program, she announced that she could not help with that because she didn't know how to teach children about doing "IT". Then she proceeds to blurt out, "did you know that you do not have to do "IT" every night, my husband just told me that a little while ago. I told him I can't believe that we used to do this, I am exhausted." Her husband totally worked her over for his benefit, and since she had no idea, she went along with it! Poor girl! It may not seem so funny to you since you don't know her, but I seriously had to walk away from the table and stop laughing because I was crying! The meeting and I needed that!
The Photo: Chelsey wanted a swimming cap for swimming lessons because her hair was getting so damaged. So I bought her one. I have never used a swimming cap before and we had the hardest time getting it on, as you can see! I had it too far forward, and she was laughing so hard at the way she looked, it was great!
