Yesterday, the kids and I went swimming at Brenda's pool. It was a lot of fun! We swam up until the point that the little boys got tired. I forgot to take them dry clothes, so I took them home in their dry diapers. On the way home Kaylix fell asleep. When we got home, I took him in and laid him down. A few minutes later, he was in his room screaming. I just left him there trying to get him to go back to sleep. After about 5 minutes of screaming, I cracked his door a little just to check on him and make sure he was ok. This overwhelming, horrible smell came out of his room. So I opened it all the way, he had pooped, taken his diaper off, and smeared the poop all over the place, it was on his hands, his face, his bed, the wall, every where. Kaylix has never ever even touched his diaper before for me to worry about putting him to bed without pants on. I was in shock! Chelsey was in the shower, and I yelled at her to get out because Kaylix was getting in! Oh man, I have never had to deal with that before, none of my other kids have ever done that. I have heard stories and always knocked on wood that I have never had that happen, but Kaylix took care of that for me last night! Thank goodness for showers and washing machines, Clorox Wipes and hand sanitizer!
Oh the Lazy Days of Summer:
Last night, Chelsey and Corbin slept over at Jordan and Devins house. Brenda said they were up pretty late last night and up pretty early this morning, so when she brought them home this afternoon, they were so tired, they just sat on the couch and did not move. Then Chelsey had softball practice and Corbin had a game. We had to divide and conquer to get the kids to both activities, so I did not get pictures of Corbins game! But Riley says he looked pretty much like he does on the couch at his game, falling asleep in the outfield, and barely able to hold his bat up!
I personally cannot figure out why they call it the lazy days of summer, when summer hits, I am more busy! Trying to clean up after 4 kids and feed 4 kids and entertain 4 kids and the list goes on and on! For me, there is no being lazy!
