I know what your thinking, how can this be bad, the kids are playing so nice on the swing set. But you see, I took my car to get it fixed. When they told me it was going to be over an hour before they got to it, I decided that I was close enough to home, that I was just going to load the kids in the stroller and walk home instead of waiting there. Chelsey and Corbin spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa so I only had the 2 little ones. It was going to be good for me. Then after I had walked a little over a mile home in the heat, I realized that I did not have a way to get into my house. I had made sure that every door was locked before I left. I also left the garage door opener and my keys at the repair shop. I tried calling Riley to come and rescue me, but he was in a meeting. I debated walking back to the shop, but decided it was too hot and coming and going so many times would kill me!! So I called my mom. She swung by the place and picked up my garage door opener to let us in. So you see, this picture is what we were doing while we were locked out of the house!
On Tuesday Corbin asked if we could do something special together as a family. So, Riley took the kids outside to practice baseball (by their choice) and then after they were done, we went out to ice cream. It was fun!
When we got home from enjoying Cold Stone, Riley and the kids had a wrestling match!
Yes, all 4 kids are attacking him!
Chelsey had made a cake that day, and even though we just went and got ice cream, they still wanted to eat the cake too! Corbin was trying to sneak and get himself a piece of cake so he could have the first one!

And last but certainly not least, we went last night for a b-b-q to bid Kellen, Camille and Olivia, farewell. You see, Riley and I are now the only ones in his family left here in Utah. His sister and now his brother have all joined his parents in Arizona. We wish them the best of luck at all their new adventures. They had lots of yummy food and friends last night, it was a lot of fun! The kids had a great time playing on Olivia's WHEEEEEEE!
Haaaa, I've locked myself out before...it drove me crazy! So close to home but not inside! Sounds like you made the best of it and the kids even had fun.
