I have been trying for 3 days to post some pictures, and for 3 days I keep getting error messages saying there is an internal problem and blogger is unable to post my pictures. I keep trying, but still nothing. I will have to write them a little note asking what is happening! But, I have some updates that I fill you in on and then keep trying to get the pictures that go with them!
Saturday, Chelsey had her softball game, she loves softball this year and is getting better each game! She loves to play catcher and her coach has been working with her on it, so she is getting really good!
Corbin also had his first baseball game on Saturday. It was a crazy day, Chels had her game at 10:30, then pictures afterwards and Corbins game was at 1:30, so we basically didn't leave the fields until 2:30. It was so windy, that it made it seem like a long day! Anyways, Corbin also did really well. Last year when he played, the didn't get outs, but we moved him up a level this year and they got him out on 2nd. He was so upset about that, we just told him now he knows, and he had better run harder next time!!!
Chelsey also had another game on Monday, she played against a little girl in our neighborhood, it was kind of fun to watch them, both of them played 1st base at one point, then they were fiving each other and saying good hit, it was really cute! My neighbor and I were just laughing and having a good time at the game together also! It has been a really fun season so far!
I have a question for all you out there who have children in Elementary School! Next year on the PTA committee I am going to be Individual Development Chair (sounds important, I know! Thats why I picked it!!!!) So, as you all know I have a major beef with the Tardy Table that our school implements to punish children for being late to school. Well, as chairperson of individual development, I oversee a bully program and community of caring and other things that we do to help childrens self esteem. That is really why I picked this!! And I want to come up with a different plan soon so I can present it to the principal and start something new next year. So, my question, what do your schools do, if anything, to children who are tardy to school. Now, I do believe that there should be a consequence for being late, other wise no one would be on time, but I do not believe that it should be something that belittles children. So, what are your thoughts and ideas?!? Help me out, please!!!!

I asked Bear what they do at his school and he says they just have to get a tardy slip at the office. Can they do some kind of positive reinforcement there? If you are on time you get to put your name in for a drawing for a candy bar or something. The tardy table thing really annoys me, especially when it's not always the kids fault for being late and they shouldn't be punished if they aren't to blame! Just my opinion! :) Good Luck! Let us know how it goes!
