HaPpY MoThEr'S DaY

Happy Mothers Day to all you mom's out there.
Today, I have been feeling like every day must be mothers day! Riley got up and left for work at 6:00 this morning. Kaylix was up at 7:00, Keegan, Corbin and Chelsey were all up about 7:30 or so. There was no rest for me, no breakfast in bed, no happy mothers day, just my husband working, my children fighting and babies crying, nothing new! Then Riley didn't make it home from work in time for church, and I can't take all the kids to church by myself, I can take them a lot of places by myself, church however is not one of those places. Trying to keep them entertained, but quiet, and all that, is more work for me than I can deal with! So, not even an escape to church! Then, Riley got home from work, ironed himself some clothes to go and teach our Sunday School class, he set the iron on the ground and Keegan burned his leg on it, it is pretty nasty to. Riley went to church and took Chelsey and Corbin because they were making Mom's Day gifts in Primary, and I staid home with Keegan and Kaylix, hoping they would both take a nap, but no! So far, my day has been pretty ordinary, just being a mom like every other day!

Anyways, I have been thinking a lot about being a mom, and although being a mom of 4 wild, roudy and loud kids is hard, it is sooooo worth it!!! I would not change my place in life for anything, unless of course it was a life with more money!!!!! Gotta keep those kids in clothes and diapers you know! My older kids like to tell me I am the meanest mom ever, but I quickly tell them I can help them find another mom that is nicer then me, and suddenly, I am nice again! I LOVE to look at my kids and how pretty and how handsome they are and how funny they are and how much fun they are and how I love to spend time with them and how I can be having stress, but look at one of their cute smiles or get a hug or a kiss and suddenly the stress can melt away, all these things and more, make being a mom the best!

So, to all you mom's out there, whether you be a first time mom, or a mom a couple of times over, Happy Mothers Day! I think that there is nothing more precious in this world than your own children and the love that you get from them, I try to remember that often and make sure my kids know that I love them more than life itself!
