- He has people complain to him all day about break downs
- I also have break downs, sometimes they are the kids and sometimes they are me!
- He does a lot of walking around his building looking for things that are broken
- I also do a lot of looking for things that are broken, or messy or other wise in a state that I do not want them to be in
- He is often sent out to get lunch for all the people in the office
- I am also responsible for feeding people, however, I serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- He is on call 24/7
- I am on call 24/7
- He has a cell phone attached to his hip at all times, just waiting for someone to call him
- I also have a cell phone, most of the time, and I am also just waiting for someone to call me, man to have an adult to speak to . . . ya know!
- He is responsible for the people who work for him
- I am also responsible for the people, well, lets face it, my people don't work for me, I work for them!
- He has to spend a lot of money to keep his building up and running
- I also have to spend a lot of money to keep my home up and running, keeping 4 kids fed, clothed, diapered, ready for school, with supplies and all, then the unexpected things that seem to keep happening to us,
well, this is where we have run into trouble. You see, the spending lots of $$ part. So, even though right now our jobs are very similar, I am going to have to add another description to mine, I need a job, a real paying job! I have not worked in 3 years, and I am trying to find the perfect job that will work with mine and Riley's schedule, impossible I know, but it has to be done! So, wish me luck out there, and if anyone knows of a great part time job opportunity, let me know!
Tricia! Hooray you found me. I am so happy to hear from you, and to know that I am not the only one who checks other people's blogs for people I might know too. I can't believe how your family has grown, I didn't know that you had two more children - I am so happy to see your family pics. I can't believe how fast these kids grow up. So where are you and what does your husband do that your jobs are so similar :-)
ReplyDeleteHas he finished school then? I am guessing yes. Thanks so much for getting in touch, Michael will be happy to know you are doing so well. I will "spy on you" regularly now.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks again for finding me.
So glad to keep up with your family. They are growing so quickly. I have been reading your blog for quite some time and find your life eerily similar to my own, you just have a couple more kids. Mine are now older and I now officially have 1 teenager and 2 more close behind. The craziness never stops, it just changes modes. I added your link to my blog. I hope you don't mind. Take care!
ReplyDeleteYes, as I mentioned today I enrolled in a Medical Transcription program earlier this month (the day Ugo left for 5 weeks). I've been thinking about it for awhile, looking for something for me. Work has always been my hobby and with Ugo traveling so much the evenings can be rather quiet (which is nice for awhile but gets old too). So I'm in a 12 month program, all from home on-line. I think 75%-90% of MTs work from home so that's my plan. Sister Schulte in our ward has been an MT for 3 years so I have talked to her about it. There you go.
