For a week now, I have been trying to load pictures on here and for a week now, it keeps timing out and then telling me there is an error and will not post my pictures. Maybe I will have to find some time during the day to try and see if maybe there are too many people on at night! But, until I can get the pictures posted, then I will just share this glimpse into our lives!
2 weeks ago, on a Tuesday, Chelsey and Corbin both told me they were sick and couldn't go to school. So I let them stay home. They were both up and running around the house the whole day, not acting very sick! I was so mad that I let them work me like that! The next day I sent them to school! Then that Thursday, Chelsey showed me her throat because it was sore again! Her tonsils her HUGE. She could reach her finger in her mouth and touch them. So I called the Dr and got her an apt on Friday. She had Strep Throat. So she started antibiotics for that. The next Friday, I called and ENT and made her an apt. Because any time she gets sick, her tonsils get really big, so we have a surgery scheduled for her on June 9 to have those blasted things taken out!
The last 2 nights, Keegan has forgotten how to sleep! He has a cold and has a really stuffy nose and a really bad cough. When he starts coughing, he is so congested, that he coughs and he throws up. That's right, more throw up! He has been up every hour in my room saying "my nose is stuffy." Today, he cried all morning and he just wanted me to hold him, while I was holding him, I realized that he was breathing really weird. He was taking short, shallow breaths and was almost panting trying to breath and he was wheezing. I called my wonderful pediatrician who is probably so sick of seeing me and took Keegan in today. He listened to him and decided to give him a breathing treatment. After a little albuterol, he listened again, there was no change in his breathing. So, they are treating him for RSV with some heavy duty antibiotics. My Dr. is the best, he gave him the drugs instead of making us do breathing treatments 3 times a day for 15 min. He knows I don't have the time for that! What a great guy! I am hoping that Keegan will get better fast. I'm glad that I went when I did before he might have ended up in the hospital with a worse case of RSV. Good times!
Kaylix is cutting 4 teeth, and is super grumpy. He has a stuffy nose and whines all day too. I have been putting the numbing stuff on his teeth, and he hates it, he sits and spits it out, then cries! Tylenol and Ibuprofen are our best friend!
Right now, Corbin is the only healthy kid in the house, only he has had really bad allergies when the warm weather teased us. So, he has been on Claritin and Benedryl!
That's right people, we are General Hospital around my house, and it is getting a little OLD!

Might I suggest celery or a carrot for Kaylix. My dad said it helped me with teething, and I was desperate with William who teethes four at a time also. It did wonders.
ReplyDeleteThe down side is that every time we go to a grocery store, he grabs a carrot out of the open bunches and starts chopping away. He is so fast!
Good luck with getting everyone better, you can make it through this!
