Corbin has started basketball, he is doing so well this year! He is really trying and not just falling on the ground every two seconds like last year! He even made 2 of baskets this game, I was so proud!
This is after he made one of the shots, he was acting so goofy!
Then, what better thing to do right after getting all nice and hot at a basketball game than to play in the snow! Luckily, there was plenty of it to be had this weekend. We got a lot of snow, and it is suppose to keep coming for the next 2 weeks. Man, I really was kind of glad that it had not really snowed yet, but it is going to make up for the lack of snow all in 1 week!
I know you are asking yourself, who is that little girl they are playing with?!? I couldn't find any of Corbins old snow clothes to fit Keegan, so I found some of Chelsey's! When I put it on him, he goes "Me a girl!" I said, "no your not, you just have to wear girl clothes!" He was kind of fine with it, but kept saying "me not a girl!"
It was a good fun filled time! Then Saturday night, my friend Jenna is to much! She had Chelsey and Corbin and 5 other kids over to watch Christmas movies and make cookies. I told her she has a death wish, but she said she enjoyed it! Riley, Keegan, Kaylix and I also enjoyed some mall time! It is so fun to people watch this time of year! The older kids had a really great time and I need to return the favor to Jenna! Do you need to finish some Christmas shopping Jenna?!?
Anyways, we are so thankful for all the friends that we have made in our ward! On Sunday, the Elders Quorum President had our family and the other counselor over for dinner. He is from Mexico and made us some real homemade Mexican food. I was a little worried because my kids and I are very picky eaters, but it was delicious and the kids even really liked it! They have a little girl that is a few weeks younger than Kaylix, it was so fun to watch the 2 of them play together, there were no tears from anyone, so it was a good night!
I am glad I am not the only mom who is in favor of cross-gender hand-me-downs, especially snow gear!
ReplyDeleteI love basketball and can't wait until Kenny is old enough to play. I don't envy all that snow though! I can barely handle the three inches we have down here. One question though how do you get this comment thing on the bottom of your blog? I think this makes it so much easier for people to leave a comment! Worked for me.
