Tagged!

I haven't been 'blog stocking' for a few days so, I just noticed that Cindy tagged me a few days ago. I want to play, so here you go, the tag is to tell 6 things that you are grateful for.

1. I am so grateful for my family. For my kids and for my husband. They are the world to me. I am also grateful for my extended family. I really don't know where I would be without the love and support of my family. Some days when I think that I just can't take one more thing on my shoulders, someone is always there to lift something off of them, and for that I am so grateful.

2. I am grateful for my faith and for the knowledge that I have of His plan. I am grateful that I can lean on the Lord as much as I lean on my family. I am grateful that I can often feel His love and that I can have trials in life so that I can draw closer to Him.

3. I am grateful for the little things in life that make my day, like the way Kaylix says "Hi" to you every time he sees you, and says it like it is the first time that he has seen you all day! For the help that Chelsey gives me through out the day and when she actually tells me that she loves me (this doesn't happen often). For Corbin and laughter that he brings into our family. Sometimes, he chooses not to listen when he is asked to do things, and I pray that with all the negative that he has thrown at him sometimes, that he still feels the love and the positive in our family. And for Keegan and that great big, huge smile that he flashes all the time. It is so hard to be unhappy when he smiles at you!

4. I am grateful for Riley's job. Even though I hate all the hours that he has to work and all the phone calls that come in the middle of the night, I am grateful that during this time of uncertainty, he has a good, stable job and it provides enough (barely) for our family to survive!

5. I am grateful to all the people who are great examples to me. I am grateful for people who show me friendship and love and for people who show me ways to be a better mom. And for people who teach me more about faith and being a good example. I need to make sure that I am making good choices and helping my children to make good choices also. I need to make sure that I am arming them with the knowledge of both the gospel and life to be able to someday go out there and face the world, if it be on a mission, in school, at work, when they choose to get married, when they have children and need to be the example to them. I hope that I have been a good example to them so they can make it through life and all the challenges that are sure to come their way.

6. I am grateful for prayer and for blessings. I am thankful that Riley has the ability to give blessings to our children and I hope that they are grateful for those blessings. I know that I need to be better at being on my knees and asking the Lord for help in all things. In Sunday school, they were talking about prayer and the question was asked, what if you feel like you never get an answer to your prayer, no matter how hard you pray. A kid who was visiting from college passed on this bit of advice: When you pray for something, you need to make sure that you have a solid decision in mind. Then when you pray ask the Lord if your decision is the correct one or not. The Lord will either confirm your decision and give you peace, or he will steer you in another direction to help you make the correct choice." I often pray for help in making decisions that seem to tough to make on my own, but I need to make a decision and then pray about that. I am grateful that I can ask the Lord for help with so many things.

My list could go on about things I am grateful for, but, I will spare you!
