Keegan

Yesterday, I cried, or I yelled, or actually I screamed it at the top of my lungs "UNCLE"
Keegan got up at 6ish yesterday and threw up, then went back to sleep. He got up when the older kids were getting ready for school, then before I left to take them, he went back to sleep. My mom has been so nice and has been coming in the mornings and sitting with Keegan and Kaylix while I take Chelsey and Corbin to school. He slept until 1:30ish, when my mom woke him up. So, I called the Dr and told him all the things that Keegan has been going through and how now, he is refusing to drink and he is just wiped out. They told me not to waste any time going to the office, to go straight to Primary Children's, so we took Keegan back to Primary's. They took some blood and tested his electrolytes, then they hooked him up to IV Therapy. He didn't love it, but it was amazing to me the difference that it made almost immediately in him. He went to the bathroom, which he hadn't done for a few days, and he wanted to go home. They told us when we first got there that he might be bad enough that he would have to stay over night and receive a few treatments, but it only took one treatment and 4 hours!

Here are my new 'before'
During

Still during!After
And this morning

He got up and wanted to eat, which he hasn't done since Sunday morning. I gave him toast and crackers, I'm not taking any chances! He wanted to play in the water while I was washing dishes. So he and Kaylix played for a little while, but then, that was too much for him! He got tired and took a nice long nap, then he started not wanting to get off the couch again and not wanting to drink and saying he was going to throw up and all that jazz. So, we took it easy the rest of the day and FORCED fluids in him. We are not going to go backwards at this point! So, he is still recovering, but he is doing SO much better!

Thanks everyone for all the calls and concerns, we appreciate it a ton!

  2. Tricia you are so brave and so is your little Keegan! I hope he's still improving. So much can happen so fast, didn't I just see you Sunday? Maybe it was 2 Sundays ago. I'm losing track. We are praying for the Wilkinsix!
